Nutrition is probably the third most discussed topic in the general population, whether social media, mainstream media, group gossip, or casual web browsing on the internet. Politics and the Film industry remain the top two! In the last decade, consumers have been bombarded with many products claiming certain nutrition or health benefits.
Western influence on food choices has never been greater. Oats, Broccoli, Olive oil, Coffee, Chocolates, Liquor, and so many food ingredients have been introduced as healthy alternatives to traditional food and ingredients. Yes! You will find articles written by renowned authors and media houses on how certain Coffee, Chocolates, or even Liquor in a certain amount has health benefits.
Similarly, Pizzas, Pasta, Burgers, Fries, Tacos, Burritos, dip and Chips have become part of the occasional routine menu in restaurants and have managed to make space on our kitchen tables well. Home cooking has become a growing trend for foods which were earlier consumed only in restaurants, while Home Chefs have invented newer recipes! Home cooking is a healthy trend as we know the ingredients in our food preparations.
While home cooking is great, munching is still a time when I don't like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing savouries. But, on the other hand, I personally love the chips. So, I make chips like Nachos, Potato chips, Soy sticks etc., on a fine Sunday in bulk and store them properly to keep them fresh.
However, chips taste great with dips! There are plenty of dips available in the market, but I like CURIO's Mexican Salsa, Bhut Jolokia (Ghost pepper) salsa variant and Marinara dips. These Salsa and dips are light on calories, made with fresh tomatoes and taste great! What else do I need? Wife's permission! Yes. That's the most important aspect of life.
To conclude, evidently home-cooked food with good ingredients and lots of love makes many differences, be it the taste or health. And brands like CURIO, with their Salsa, Marinara dips and Pizza-pasta sauces, balance the taste part with health!
Let me confess. It's freaking delicious!!!
